Happy ChiRunners

Arizona ironman 2013 is in the books and it was a great day! Weather was perfect (OK, you just have to expect wind on the Beeline highway-this is the desert), but lake was warm and air temps perfect. The full moon rising over the east horizon as I started my second loop of the run was stunning. I PRd every leg of the course and improved 65 minutes from 2012! Thanks again to all my coaches-Frank Patrick Sole, Dan Thomas, and Anne Wilson for their expert swim instruction, Faster for the awesome bike fit and position coaching, and Lisa Pozzoni and ChiRunning for ever refining the run. Endurance Nation, Coach Rich and Coach Patrick for all the great training and race execution lessons and Tri Scottsdale for all their local support. And most of all, thanks to my wonderful family for all of their love, patience and support!!! 11/19/13

“Hello Lisa
I thoroughly enjoyed your class and to be honest would not change a thing!  I love the fact that you were so passionate and knowledgable about running.  I feel everything you went over was done efficiently in the amount of time we had. I like the way you made it all so exciting and broke it all up! I mean I didn’t even want to use the restroom in fear I would miss something! lol! I really appreciate you teaching that class. I have already started using the techniques! My favorite part was running and applying it all at the end! Well that and you teaching us the hills.  very exciting! As I said I am in love with Chi running now! I will definitely spread the word about your class to all of my friends, coworkers and fellow runners!   Thank you again for an awesome morning and class.”

“I just ran both the hardest and easiest two miles. Undoing 22 years of running habits is going to be a journey. Thanks to Lisa Pozzoni and her Chi, The Running University. You should certainly give it some thought.”

Hi Lisa:  I took your ChiRunning course approximately two years ago (Spring 2012).  I just completed my 7th 1/2 marathon yesterday at the Phoenix Rock N Roll and get faster with every race I run.  I want you to know that I really appreciated all the tips you posted on Facebook leading up to this race.  I believe that the knowledge I gained in your course along with the reminder tips are what led to my best day ever!  I also follow your progress and I want you to know that you continue to inspire me.  Thank you so much. 1/20/14

Woohoo, 20 miles tonight!  10 years ago I couldn’t use my right leg and I just ran 20 miles, can’t believe it Emoji.  Good news was no cramping at all, I took electrolyte pills before and at the 10 mile mark, thanks for the idea.  I really shortened my stride on the hills and focused on using my hips and arms to power me up, it felt good.  I don’t know if I hit the wall or what, but at the 19.6 mark I turned for my last stretch up to the library and I couldn’t feel my legs!  No way I was walking at the point though and I powered through.  Well ok I wobbled through but whatever.

Thanks for your help!! 1/29/14
