Who should attend?
This clinic is perfect for women who are beginners to recreational walkers or runners, those who are concerned about pace, injury, or how to start, and anyone who’s been told they’re “too old” or “not fit enough” to run. If you’ve struggled with confidence, faced setbacks, or simply need guidance on making walking or running a joyful, lifelong habit, you belong here.

What will I learn?

Introduction to ChiWalking/ChiRunning: Understand the guiding principles: alignment & relaxation, body sensing, holistic practice, gradual progress, and why this technique reduces impact on your joints and body, making walking and running easier and more enjoyable.
Posture: Discover how proper alignment and core engagement will stabilize and protect you not only in your walking/running but your life.
Moving from Your Center: Learn how to lead from your center rather than overusing your legs for propulsion, reducing the risk of injury and pain.
Arm Swing: Understand the mechanics of a proper arm swing and how it impacts your overall movement.
Stride and Cadence: Master the art of stride length and cadence to walk/run smoothly and with ease, making it all more enjoyable and less effort.
Differences of ChiWalking/ChiRunning: Understand the differences and how to apply them.
Transitioning between ChiWalking/ChiRunning: Learn the most efficient way to transition between the two (ChiWalking is a regular part of my ChiRunning practice!)
Practice: We will get to practice throughout the morning!

You will leave this class with a good understanding of how to move your body with the ChiWalking and ChiRunning technique, surrounded by other women who excited and motivated to move forward (pun intended!).
